A service will be held in November in Delhi, New York, with burial in St. James Cemetery. Henry Cardwell Smith III Henry Cardwell Smith, 72, of Savannah, Ga died Saturday afternoon, October 22, 2022. He was born in Waycross, GA to the late Henry C. Smith Jr. and Martha Burnam McDonald Smith in November 1949. Card was a graduate of Waycross High School in 1968 and played several sports to include football and track.

Country music was his favorite but he could tell you the title and artist of just about any song. He was a great husband, father, papa and brother. Jack was born June 13, 1934 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As a teenager, he moved to Savannah with his family and it became his lifelong home. Jack served in the United States Marine Corps, graduated from Georgia Tech, and retired from Union Camp in 1996 where he was the Electrical and Instrument Superintendent. Lee was 98, and was predeceased in 2018 by his cherished wife of 71 years, Janice Leyburn Erb. Lee lived in Savannah Square Senior Living Community in Savannah, Georgia, for 13 years after moving from Cape Cod in 2011. The third of five children, Lee was born in New Hanover, PA, where he spent his childhood on the family dairy farm. After his father's death, the Erb family moved to Pottstown where Lee played trumpet in the high school band. He was born December 31, 1932 in Cincinnati, Ohio to parents Richard Gale and Naomi Hoffman Evans. Dick grew up in the Pleasant Ridge neighborhood in Cincinnati and graduated from Walnut Hills High School in 1951. Dick attended Kenyon College in Gambier, OH where he joined the Air Force ROTC and Delta Tau Delta fraternity. He also played football and was an accomplished midfielder on the lacrosse team.
